Privacy policy
Apptmt provides business messaging software that sends updates to customers on WhatsApp. This policy explains what information we handle, why we handle it, and what choices you have. It applies to our website and to the Apptmt service used by businesses and their customers.
Who is responsible for your information
When a business uses Apptmt, that business decides what customer information is collected and why. Apptmt processes that information on the business's instructions, as its service provider. What we collect
- Customer details a business enters — name, phone number and interaction history.
- Event information that triggers a message — bookings, tickets, orders, due dates and their status.
- Documents a business chooses to send, such as reports, invoices, receipts and forms.
- Message records — whether a WhatsApp message was sent, delivered or read, and any reply a customer sends to the business.
- Team accounts — name, email address and role.
How we use it
We use this information only to run the service the business has asked for: sending confirmations, reminders, updates and documents, keeping records of what was sent and delivered, handling replies, and supporting and securing the product. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Messages on WhatsApp
Apptmt sends messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform, operated by Meta. Messages go only to people who have agreed to receive them, and anyone can withdraw that consent at any time by telling the business or by replying STOP to any message. Once withdrawn, we stop sending. Meta processes messages under its own terms.
Documents are shared through time-limited links or delivered directly to the recipient. They are never posted publicly, and are accessible only to the recipient and the business that sent them.
Who else sees it
We share information only with providers that help us run the service: cloud hosting and the WhatsApp Business Platform for message delivery. Each is bound to use the information only for the service they provide. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep records for as long as the business's account is active, and afterwards only as long as accounting and tax rules require. When a business closes its account, we delete or return its data within ninety days, unless a law requires us to keep it longer.
Keeping it safe
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to staff who need it, protected by individual accounts, and logged. Document links expire. No system is perfectly secure, but we review our practices regularly and act quickly on anything we find.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see the information held about you, have it corrected, have it erased, or withdraw your consent. Ask the business that messaged you, or write to us at apptmtservice@gmail.com and we will pass the request on and help fulfil it. We respond within thirty days.
Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies needed to keep it working and secure. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies on it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update this page, and we will tell our customers directly before any significant change takes effect.
